About the Artist
Nancy Brown began her career at the young age of 5 when she started her studies at the Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. She continued with lessons both in school and on the side during her growing up years and into adulthood.
Pyrography (wood burning) came to the forefront of her career again when Cripple Creek Antler Company of Minocqua, Wisconsin requested she fill a need for them.
Nancy
Brown's main focus is creating switchplates. She also does work on plaques,
furniture, doors, and even leather (which is called branding). In the past
she has sold many works in many mediums including watercolor, oil, acrylic,
pen and ink, and ceramics. However, pyrography has probably been the most
fulfilling of all.
We hope you enjoy having her work in your surroundings, be it your home, cabin, or place of business.
